Years ago, fresh out of school, Mr. Xiong began his watchmaking journey as an apprentice under his father’s guidance. In this capital of horology, time seemed to move more slowly than anywhere else. While others were drawn to the flash of modern electronics, he found himself lost in the art of traditional watchmaking. Inside an old workshop, the hum of motors and the delicate click of gears spoke to him in a language only he understood.

Two decades passed. Countless watches passed through his hands, each one finding its way to a new owner. And then it struck him: precise timekeeping should not be a luxury for the few, but an everyday pleasure for the many.

So, Horolo was born.

The name comes from “Horology” — a tribute to the craft itself. The logo, an “H” shaped like an hourglass, honors one of the oldest timekeeping instruments in human history.

The hourglass first appeared in recorded history in the 14th century, pictured in Ambrogio Lorenzetti’s 1338 fresco, Allegory of Good Government. By the 15th century, it had become a trusted, affordable tool — used on ships, in churches, in workshops and kitchens.

Though we no longer rely on hourglasses to tell time, they remain a timeless symbol. They show us how the “sands of time” run low — a gentle nudge that life is fleeting, and every moment deserves to be lived fully.

Every Horolo watch carries this belief. It’s more than an accessory — it’s a companion for your journey, reminding you that time is the most precious gift we have, and now is where eternity begins.
